Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 10A). Bottle 37,5 cl - Batch 329. AROMA: fruity aromatics reminiscent of grapefruit, orange blossom and a faint citrusy note. mild caramel malt background. APPEARANCE: light amber color and slightly hazy light ivory color head with medium expression and below average retention. TASTE: slight residual malty sweetness with a caramel aspect, combined with mild notes of grapefruits and orange blossom (less than the aromas). Medium-high bitterness that lingers well beyond a semi-dry finish. PALATE: medium-light body with medium-low carbonation. no astringency. OVERALL: a not so bad american pale ale with different aromatics.

750ml bottle purchased at Marche Jovi in Gatineau, Quebec. Deep golden amber in colour with a long lasting off-white head, excellent lacing. Aroma is lightly hoppy, some caramel and cookies, some grass, light citrus. Flavour is of caramel sweetness, some citrus hop bite, herbal and black pepper. Lightly bitter mouthfeel, medium/light body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, lightly bitter with a lingering sweetness. Its definitely drinkable, an english style for sure.

375ml bottle. Bottled 12/12/2013. Pours a slightly hazy orange with a one finger, fluffy, off white head. Aroma has nice notes of pine, citrus, resin, and slight bread. Taste is aggressively bitter. Mild notes of pine, caramel, resin, and floral hops ending in a bitter aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation. A bit resiny in the mouth with a soft carbonation. Overall ok. Would love to try a fresher bottle but for being over 10 months old this is pretty good.

Cheers!

Aroma is apple, pear, beligian sugar and yeast. Taste is a balance of sweet malts and fruits. These flavors met with a fairly complex hop profile that has an earthiness and smooth bitterness. Appearance is an amber / bronze with a pearl head that retains fairly poorly.

Nice, simple, dry APA made with a mix of 3 malts and 3 hops, all Quebec-grown. Colour is a cloudy light amber with a fizzy white head that settles into a nice creamy film. Nose is pale, grainy malt, caramel, grapefruit and orange, apple, and resinous hops. Taste is sweet malt, grain, a hint of citrus, and a dry, piney finish. Very drinkable.
