Bottle round The Jenners. Bright lager gold with a faint swirl of bubbles and dense white cap. Cherry blossom and sappy shrub aroma buried beneath meaty rubber strong lager and palinka notes. Spun sugar lemon icing taste with sweetness and discreet almond booze winning out over true flavour. Whispers of grass and shrub. Had better but it’s a painless shot of sugary gold.

Bottle from Carrefour, Calais, France. Hazy golden coloured with a spicy fruity and herbal flavour, a slight thin body followed by a smooth, dry, slight soapy finish.

Bottle. Pours a dark gold colour with a thin white head, light malt aroma with some fruit, the taste is bitter and rather oily with some sweetness as well, with a dry finish.

July 2014 at Chris’s Caspar do. Mild, bubbly, soft tasting strong pale ale. Could be English. Good marriage of malt and hops. OK.

Backlog rating. Bottle at Caspar tasting at Chriso’s, London. Another sweet, malty, bready, biscuity BdG, not really my cup of tea. Lightly boozy, too

Bottle at Casper is back tasting. Lasting clear gold no head. Decent I thought. Bit sweet.

Bottle shared at chriso’s - big thanks to Ian. Pours crystal clear gold with a foamy, white head. Sugary bread on the nose, some cereal, grains. Medium sweet flavor with more grainy malts, toasted augars, cereal, vague citrus. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Sugary finish with more grainy bread, more cereal, dough, hints of lemon meringue, hay. Lingering cereal and doughy, pale bread. Solid BdG.

Scopey (13311) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 12, 2014
Bottle sort of thanks to Ian. It pours clear golden-amber with a thick white head. The nose is toasty, doughy, metallic, residual sweetness, candy, melon and some metallic notes. The taste is crisp, bitter, orange peel, lemon, spice, metallic, orange sponge cake, melon and pear with a dry finish. Medium body and high carbonation. Perhaps a touch sweet, but ok.
