2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
No serious defects, but hard to get excited about it. Copper almost clear appearance, a little dark for the style but attractive, with a thin white head. Nose is pretty simple. Sweet malts, caramel, and a little floral hops. Taste also pretty direct ... sweet malts, a little offsetting bitterness, but no reason to get excited. Drinkable, but not about to give Brewerkz any serious competition.
UPDATED: JUL 30, 2017 Tap at brewpub, copper and light colour, grassy aroma, no particular the taste. The worst of this brewpub fiulijn (21214) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 25, 2013
Draught at the brewpubgnoff (10891) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 12, 2013
Hazy deep blond color with generous head. It has an evident aroma and flavor of malt-meal, with light caramel touch; definitively more bitter than the other beers of the lot (without excess), with some hop qualities.
Pleasant beer but apparently it needs some tuning.
Draught at the brewpub on July 8, 2013.kidmartinek (5007) - austin, Texas, USA - JUN 14, 2013
Marked as 33.2 on the board. Also stated to be 4.3% ABV.
Part of a 5 beer sample tray.
Hazy golden color, white head. Sweet, malty, fruity, hoppy scent. Herbal, fruity, some citrus, also somewhat bitter taste. Fizzy mouthfeel, medium high bitterness.
Nice one, I’d have it again for sure.
Light cloudy copper with a lasting white head. Pale malty aroma. Clean light amber taste overpowered by a bitter hopping. Very good PA. Refrehing. tomciccateri (1035) - Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA - OCT 30, 2011
On tap at brewpub. Description now reads "Pale Ale with a heritage going back to the 17th century, has been the most popular beer in the U.K and the country’s leading export beer."
Pours a clear amber color with a fading big-buble tanish head. Even malr/hop flavor balance. Medium to full mouthfeel. Slightly dry malty finish. Okay. Would probably be enhanced with some oak aging.
