COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unrateable as Mix of 50% IPA and 50% Stout, mixed at the bar. In British beer history, the stout originated as a strong porter known as "Stout Porter"; 33.4 House Porter is concocted with a blend of 33.3 Stout and 33.2 Pale Ale - a medley of malty notes and hoppy aromas.

What was this? A watery stout? Dark, like a porter, but surprisingly little porter character. Totally without porter feel in the mouth. Not nasty. Simply not a porter.

Chalky brown color. Cream-white head. Intricate lacing. Aroma is bitter, roasty, creamy cocoa and a bit dirty. Creamy mouthfeel. The palate is bitter and chocolately and has a liveliness that lasts a very long time. For a beer cocktail I was surprised but something about originiality makes me balk. Nowadays, blending a stout and a pale ale to make a porter seems taboo.
