3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Amber colored, as one might expect. Smells like an Amber Ale, as one might expect. Taste is lightly fruity, plus other malty sweet notes. A little hoppier than it needs to be, which is always welcome.
Draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear amber color with a large fizzy head. Fair head retention. Aroma of caramel and biscuit malts, citrus hops, muddled fruits. The taste is bitter hops and doughy malts. Medium bodied, not well balanced. Cybercat (6036) - Georgia, USA - MAY 26, 2013
Comes out of the tap a clear, dark golden amber with a substantial and persistent yellowish wheat head. Aroma is not strong but invites with malty and subtle fruity notes. Malty flavor has hints of pear and hops. Creamy texture helps it go downstairs smoothly; fizz leaves a little to be desired. Still, satisfying and drinkable.
