Yellow pour with creamy white head and lace. A hinto wheat and earthy hops. Wheaty like malt with light corn and earthy hops. Light to medium body with good carbonation. Pretty solid cream ale.
Tap @ LaB. Clear, light yellow. Pale cereal malts nose. Flavor of a Golden Ale. Very simple, pale straw flavor. Easy drinker, for the BMC people. (4185) Cybercat (6042) - Georgia, USA - MAY 26, 2013
Pours a clear yellow with a typical white head. Aroma is not strong, mainly fruity with a little malt. Flavor, fortunately, is better - malty and fruity with more than a hint of hops. Texture is a little thin but has plenty of fizz. OK, cream ales ain’t my style. Still this one is worthy. Different strokes for different folks. Thorpe429 (5035) - , Illinois, USA - APR 19, 2013
On tap at LAB. Faint corn and grain with a slight bitterness to the finish. Quite smooth. Drake (14062) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 19, 2013
Brewvival Trip Beer 5. Pours a hazy lemon yellow color with a medium sized creamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of sweet malts, honey, corn, bitter hops. The taste is corn, dry pale malts, mild grassy hops. Thin, slightly watery. Solid cream ale. Kinz (3786) - Glen Allen, Virginia, USA - JAN 26, 2013
Beer 38 Asheville trip, surprised at how many of the Lexington brews I’m having to add here. In any case, pours a clear gold, slight head. Aroma is very, very faint, lightly of honey accented malts, and I’m perceiving corn. Flavor is a match, with no discernable hop flavor, just a balancing bitterness. Not sure if the corn note is in my head or not because it is billed as a cream ale, but I think I detect it at least. Not bad - definitely as billed.
