Tasted on 7/29/12 on draft at the brewpub with Erika. Pours opaque dark brown with a red tint, and an average beige head that slowly recedes to average lace. The nose is dusty dark chocolate, coffee grounds, and a touch of raspberry syrup. The flavor is more raspberry focused with the others taking a back seat. The body is almost full with light carbonation and a long raspberry and bitter coffee finish. bartlebier (4214) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - APR 20, 2014

, Asheville 20/09/2012. Looks appealing, even in its diminutive cilindre sample glass: near-opaque purple tinged dark brown with a solid mocha head. The rest is dominated by instant aromas: thawed shockfrozen raspberries along with some thaw water diluting most remnants of what feels like a runny, hurried brewpub porter underneath. French press coffee brewed with thaw water + Costco raspberry pie.
On tap at LAB. Big on the raspberry, but in an not so good artifical way. Some of the dark, roastiness of the porter comes through, but is, in the end, overwhelmed by the fruit. Thorpe429 (5122) - , Illinois, USA - OCT 23, 2012
On tap at LAB. Lots of raspberry character, tending more toward black raspberry, and quite artificial. Base beer is mostly covered up. unclemattie (4406) - Georgia, USA - AUG 29, 2012
Tap @ LaB. Nitro pour! Dark brown. Steady light brown head. Heavy raspberry nose. Loads of fruit. Tastes of raspberries. Finishes with coffee bitterness from all of the roasted grains. An absolutely amazing pairing of flavors. (3443)
