3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Copper with creamy white head and lace. Aroma dominated by the rye and some light resiny hops. Large caramel malt sweet with a decent resiny bitter with a hinto orange zestiness. Light bodied and a tad fizzy but a decent drinker.
Comes out of the tap a reddish amber, almost mahogany, with a decent ivory head that leaves heavy lacing. Malty aroma has rye and fruity hints.
Flavor fills the mouth with rye malt and woody hops plus a hint of apple. Smooth, firm texture tickles the palate with a lively fizz. All rye-ght. Thorpe429 (5122) - , Illinois, USA - APR 19, 2013
On tap at LAB. Dry and slightly fruity. Faint floral and citrus hops. Decent. Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 19, 2013
Draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy brown color with a medium sized creamy white head. Good head retention. Weak aroma of faint sweet malts. The taste is big rye notes, herbal hops, faint sweet malts. Medium bodied. b3shine (9138) - Indiana, USA - JUN 14, 2012
Draft to taster at the LAB. Doesn’t look like a rye beer. Looks like a Hefeweizen. Smells like nothing. Tastes like bitter yeast with a bad mouthfeel. This beer sucks.
