3.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours clear golden color. Almost no nose for this pour. Initial pine hops followed by slightly odd soapy mid palate. Nice long bitterness. A lot of good things going for it only marred by an odd mid palate.
Trying out a new rating system here:
Aroma: (7- noteworthy quality) Cereal malts, substantial grapefruit, citrus hop character.
Appearance: (4-high quality) Slightly tinted gold, firm white head.
Flavor: (8- very high quality) Matches the nose; pronounced grapefruit, cereal lingers under, but present.
Palate: (3- average) Medium bodied, creamy texture, soft carbonation, bittersweet finish.
Overall: Well done, would drink again. DocJitsu (2060) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - MAR 29, 2013
Pours a slightly murky amber golden color with an antique white head. The bouquet is perfume and inviting with aromas of lemon and orange citrus. Mouthfeel is full and soft on the front end. It dries out a bit at the finish. A nice carbonation presnce offers balance to the overall moutfheel. There’s an oniony quality that seems to dominate. Some lemony notes appear toward the end and lingers beyond the finish. There’s some hop hotness that won’t allow you to forget this is an IPA. In fact, this is nearing a DIPA. I think the whole beer has nice balance and complexity. patrick767 (4474) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 26, 2012
tap - Pours slightly hazy copper with a small, lingering head. It has a citrus hop aroma. The flavor is of moderate to strong citrus hop bitterness with a sweet, bready, caramel malt backbone. It’s less bitter and tastes less strong than what might expect from an IIPA. It’s closer to some IPAs, in my opinion. Medium bodied. Good beer. Dogbrick (14326) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - NOV 2, 2012
On draught at World Of Beer. Pours a clear orange color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. The aroma consists of hops and grapefruit. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, herbs and caramel malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a fruity hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

On tap at the Lackman, poured in a 12oz shaker. Nice, grassy hoppy aroma. Pine, hay.. Clear golden color. Thin white head. Good lace. Smooth, lighter carbonation, more dry texture. Not too big of a body. Bigger bitter taste, little zest. Impressive DIPA, with great flavor, especially considering the ABV. Tmoney99 (15130) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 20, 2012

Growler. Orange piney hops and caramel malt aroma, Clear deep gold wit a large off-white head. Caramel malt and extremely smooth resinous piney hops flavor, Full sticky body. Somehow this one manages to be a hop bomb with actually being a hop bomb, shrubber85 (11710) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - OCT 6, 2012
Bottle. Orange and grapefruit peel/pine aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet orange malt and strong grapefruit peel/reisinous hops flavor. Get a crescendo of bitterness after swallowing. Very nice. drfabulous (8825) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - OCT 6, 2012
Draught at Country Boy. Big pine aroma and hops. Bitterness. Lots of intense flavor. Would be Alltech’s best beer if they brewed this one regularly and not as a result of a competition.
