My Bottom Line:
Softspoken cereals and easygoing herbal hops chat in this quenching Blond Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the hazy blond.
-This doesn’t have the refinement of an authentic Kölsch.
-Drinkability is high.
-Malts feel limp after a few sips.
-Finish has nothing memorable going on.

On tap at the brewpub.

On tap at Noctem. Pours a clear with a small white rim that leaves some lacing. Nose is of light bready cereals. Taste is of light caramel-like cereals, crispy cereals and is pretty dry. Body is light to medium and carbonation moderate. A very light husky feel. A pretty good one but it could be cleaner.

(Rating #7074)

A hazed blonde kolsch with a thick frothy lacing white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with light citrus pulp, loads of German hops, light mineral notes, well done. In mouth, a nice grainy biscuit malt with grassy German hops, light mineral notes, light citrus, nice and refreshing. On tap at vices et versa.

On tap at Le Temps d’une Pinte. Pours nice golden with medium white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is of pilsner malt, herbal hops, hay. Taste is of malt, sugar, european hops. A tad bitter. Palate: Light body. Soft carbonation. Overall: Good. Looks kinda like a kolsch. A bit sweet?

On tap @ L’Hermite. Slightly hazy golden with a small white head and little lacing. Aroma is herbal, light cereals, hints of fruits and dusty notes. Taste is of grains, herbal notes, some fruitiness, dust and malt. Light/medium body. Moderate carbonation. Clean finish. A bit bland, but it seems to be true to style. Well executed.

On tap at the brewpub. Clear gold pour with small lacy white head. Aroma of rich pils malt notes, dusty hop, pretty authentic kölsch aroma, light fruitiness. Taste is malty, biscuity with light fruity flavors, a bit too clean yeast profile, could be a bit fruitier.
