COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; available at Wetherspoons Real Ale Festival October 2013. This new tawny-coloured beer, available only at this Wetherspoon real-ale festival (outside of the Channel Islands), has a light maltiness in its flavour, derived from Maris Otter and coloured malts, well balanced by the floral aroma and crisp taste. Hops used: Admiral, English Cascade, Pioneer

Cask at The Post Horn, St.Helier, Jersey. Pours a golden brown colour with a white head which leaves good lacing. Aroma of caramel, hops, and honey with fruity notes. Light sweetness with a medium hoppy bitterness. Light body, texture is sticky. Average carbonation. Lingering bitterness to finish.

Clear copper golden with a good sized off white head.
Nose is on the thin side, toasted malts, light fruit, grass.
Taste comprises light caramel, faint hop profile, toasted malts.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, smooth on the palate, light bitterness in the finale.
Looks good, feels good, lacks any depth at the business end - Ultimately a Miss !

Sir John Oldcastle Spoons. Cask. Hazy amber beer with a good pale cream coloured head. Palate is smooth with good fine carbonation. Smooth airy malt, a little cream. Nice mellow ripe orange hops. Smooth finish. Well balanced and drinkable.

Cask conditioned handpump Red Well Wellingborough 24/10/13. A copper coloured beer with a white head and lace. Quite a fruity malty beer at first but ends up with good bitterness. A bit of cereal. Pleasantly balanced. Quite good.

Aroma of light fruits, hint of spicy hops, some cereal malts

Taste of soft fruity malts, light caramel malts, slight spicy soft bitter hops, easy, mellow

Palate - Medium body, very soft bitter, good texture. Finish as main flavour, mellow soft citrus, soft bitter

Overall - Easy going, quite a decent beer, nothing stands out but well put together as a whole
