Crosse Keys Spoons. Clear gold amber beer, residual white head. Palate is fresh and a little crisp. Nice hops - nice grapey orange with a little tang. Mild minerals. Semi dry finish. Nice!
Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a fine, white cream head. Dry bread, lightly toasted dough, moderate leafy bitterness. A pretty standard bitter. Fair balance. Cask @ JDW, Victoria Station. The pour’s deep red with a tiny white head. The nose is light, sweet orchard fruits, some berry and cherry. Honeyed apricot syrup and cereal grains. The taste is sweet malts, more light berry fruits and hints of caramel. Light, grassy finish. Light body, smooth. Sweet, simple flavors, but quite solid.
