Bottle at ISO: Beers thanks to the one of the awesome bartenders. This one was French oak I believe. Pours a hazed gold with a large white head. Big musk, funk, yeast on the nose, picks up some bugs as well. Cool peppermint herbal note. Pepto bismal. Smells amazing. Medium bodied, soft and musky, tangy and vibrant. Lovely hints of acidity and tangy notes. Bright and funky. Soft musk into the finish. Musk, tangy. Clean, subtle, sophisticated, gorgeous. Beautiful.

On tap @ Libertine. Hazy orange beer with white foam. Super earthy and very intense lemon. There’s a lot of phenolics here as well, particularly pepper and leather. Get some tangy yogurt, a touch of pennies, and some unripe apple and pear. It’s maybe better than their other offerings on this visit due to the lack of overwhelming abrasive sourness, but it’s still not a winner for me.
