At MB brewpub. Immediate caramel taste with a deep aftertaste. A little sweet but not overpowering.

Stopped by the brewpub for lunch today and $2.50 pints! Hard to beat that price.
Started out with this one. Came out almost full-to-the-brim. It’s an odd looking beer. It’s extremely murky and cloudy brown. Looks like this glass was dipped in the local Yadkin river. A small white head rests atop. Great lace sticks to the glass. The nose is really sweet, with fresh bread, toffee, hazelnut.
A smooth creamy mouthfeel. Moderately deep with ample carbonation. Sweet flavors make up the bulk, not surprisingly. Toffee, caramel, brown sugar, graham crackers. Bitterness is low to near absent. Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a brownish color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty nutty aroma with hints of caramel. Fruity malty nutty caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty nutty caramel finish.

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2011 Pours a dark copper with a thick off-white head. Nose is earthy with a touch of brown sugar and spice. I had the Nut Brown Ale on tap on 1/23/08.
Appearance: Beer came with a small 1 finger head and looked to be dark brown from what I could tell from the lighting. The smell was nutty with a hint of malted caramel.
Taste: Nutty with hints of caramel like the smell as expected with a nice bite of bitterness at the finish.
Mouthfeel: Very solid. It wasn’t too thin or thick but was just right.
Drinkability: Pretty high. I had two and don’t know that I would want to have more than three in a single sitting.

Sampled on draft at the brewpub. Pours a clear reddish brown color with a large creamy head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel malts, grain and tea. Taste is floral hops, citrus and stone fruits with nutty caramel hops. Medium bodied.
