A classic English nut brown, right down to the bitterness at the end. It smells better than it tastes; an average brown ale, and I can't say that I'd drink it consistently. I'd prefer Newcastle every day, because it's more even and smooth all the way through.

Draught. Pours a brown color with a smallish head on it. Nose has some stronger toasting elements to it with a much subtler nuttiness. Taste was similar, but with a slightly sweet finish. Pretty smooth and easy to drink. jb (3270) - Rochester, New York, USA - JUN 7, 2011
I tasted one called LIberty Broadway Brown at the Broadway at the Beach location. Brown, flat, orange tint. Nutty, unspectacular, and I can never come up with much to say about boring browns. Nutty covers it in 9/10 cases. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 6, 2010
This poured a lighter clear brown color with an off white head. Aroma was light nuts, and light caramel. Flavor was lightly roasted, nutty but very watery and bland. pineypower (3344) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - AUG 29, 2009
On tap at the steakhouse. Pours out a moderate hue of brown with a two finger tan head. Aroma is of sweet malts, caramel and a little earthy nut notes. Light on the palate and served way too cold, other people were probably looking at me strange as I sat at the bar wrapping my hands around the glass to warm the beer. Notes of caramel, slight roast, little bit of earthy nutty notes.

Way too light in body. This beer is made for rookie beer drinkers and tourists. It almost tasted watered down. decaturstevo (6253) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - FEB 27, 2009
Deep amber pour with creamy tan head and lace. Light caramel malt on the nose. Sweet toasted malt flavor with a tad of nuts. Dry enough to suck the spit out of your mouth. Medium bodied but a tad foamy for my liking. Oakes (17831) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 9, 2009
Amber-brown colour. Spiderweb lacing. Nutty, slightly chocolatey aroma. Toasty, nicely balanced brown hits the usual marks. jcwattsrugger (12469) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - FEB 7, 2009
