2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hazy auburn, short tight head. Tangy US hop aroma. Dry, tangy, woody, lightly astringent. Sour fruity. Long, hoppy finish on the middle tongue. Medium light body. Liberty Taproom, Columbia, on tap.
Not a bad red ale. The aroma was not all that fantastic, but the flavor was a pleasant surprise. Overall, I'd drink this again.

Pours a ruby red with a little haze and a thick off white head. Aroma is light but has some malt. Mouthfeel is light. Flavor is malty and some metallic from the yeast and a little bit of hop. Overall it is pretty thin yet it has nice color and is balanced but I was looking for more malty body to this beer. beernovice39 (3270) - Idaho, USA - APR 27, 2011
Draft in Columbia. Amber pour. Caramel scent. More hops than expected, decent brew. pineypower (3345) - Ocean County, New Jersey, USA - AUG 29, 2009
Tap at the steakhouse. Pours out a slightly cloudy reddish copper color with a small lacing white head. Slight sweet malts on the aroma, but not a whole lot going on aroma-wise. Taste is of some sweet malts, slight hops, little bit of caramel, drinkable, especially on a 90+ degree day like the one I was just there.

Hazed deep amber pour. Not much aroma at all. Semi sweet malt with light bittering finish. Foamy and thin took away from it for me. jcwattsrugger (12507) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - FEB 7, 2009
NC on tap-pours a light tan head and copper color. Aroma is mild medium malt. Taste is sweet medium malt-some hops with slight bite then some metallic.

From the sampler, thank christ. Small white head thats short lived, light spotty lacing. Clear amber with a light red glow. Nose is lightly malty, biscuity, earthy. Light bodied, low carbonation, somewhat grainy. Lightly malty, caramel hints, dusty.
Finish is quick with dry malts and a faint fruitiness. NachlamSie (3523) - Denver, Colorado, USA - AUG 21, 2008
Draught. This is red. The description sure sounds good to me. However, the most striking thing about it after an analysis is its similarity to their nut brown ale. The malt qualities sport much of the same nut/toast thing going on. I’d say a dash of biscuit character may be found. Not much at all in the way of hops, perhaps the finish could be considered grassy. Really, it’s not bad. meh.
