With the tremendous luxury of wallowing in the many delicious beers here in Belgium, I dont get the chance that much to experience foreign beers, except when travelling. Bought this one in Wetzlar in a supermarket. When choosing a pilsner, keep with the original Czech or go for the Belgians though ;-).

Bottle. Pours a clear, pale lager yellow with a medium, fluffy, white head that dissipates almost immediately. Aroma is slightly strawy, herbal hops,. Taste is strongly herbal, some grainy malts. Some lemon in the aftertaste. Palate is light, a bit watery even, carbonated. Rather disappointing.

Test vom 7.1.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Bottle, the label on my bottle reads Lager, this beer had a very clear straw yellow pour and made an initial two finger white head that lowered to a cover and somewhat sticky ring, effervescence in the glass was less than medium with a center stream of bubbles and a few stray bubbles in the glass, this Pilsener left some spots and small finger s of lacing on the glass, the ring was sticky, no sediment in the bottle, there were aromas of bread, pilsener, some lemon like citrus and had a mild bread and malt sweetness with very faint floral, grass hops, the flavors were pilsner malt and bread, had a nice crispness with a touch of citrus, there was some hop bitterness at the finish, and a touch of metallic sulfur bitterness in the background after the finish, the mouth feel was light, this beer had a nice nose and flavor.
