4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Well, this is just great. Aroma of coffee, chocolats and some delicate hops. A nice full body, kinda creamy, resembles the mouthfeel andt he consistency of a Orval a bit. Tastes completely different of course: chocolate fruity espresso-something. I declare this the best brewpub-beer of Vienna at this moment.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at Wiener bier fest. Almost black color with huge off-white head. Dark malt, citrus hops in aroma. Dark malt, citrus hops, pines in taste. Medium long light hoppy bitter finish. Good.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from the brewpub. Black body with red reflections and a beautiful, thick, creamy and pretty long-lasting beige head, that leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, liquorice, resin, even some smoke, almost no hops. Taste is with the same aromas again, with some nice biscuit touch and only some subtle hop fruitiness from the background. Mouthfeel is medium, slick, creamy and finishes complex, with bitter chocolate, coffee, smoke and other dark aromas and a little sour fruitiness. Well, strange, I’m not sure if I got the right bottle. If this really is their Black IPA, it fails, but resembles a Porter much more instead - a damn good one! Whatever it is, this is just tasty stuff!
