Not a big fan of this one. Lacks balance like Breitbart, with too much bitterness. Coconut and some smoke and prune. Hazy brown pour with good head and lacing. Astringent finish with coconut hust. Tap at Rustico. jtclockwork (17374) - , New Jersey, USA - FEB 9, 2017

750 mL bottle from Beer Run, 12/14/16. Dark brown, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of strong coconut, cherries, earth, leather. The taste is coconut, caramel, toffee. Medium bodied, boozy, bitter. Not great.
Bottle from the father. Lots of coconut, some sweet malt, raisin, fig. Rather sweet, but not cloyingly so. ABV is pretty well hidden. Coconut is really nice here.

4oz draft pour at Rustico Alexandria. Poured a nearly pitch black color, very dark brown. Aroma was a huge blast of coconut. Chocolate and coconut dominate. Some light spices. Sweet malts. Warming finish. Not what I’d call a quad, but tasty. TheBeerGod (6261) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - OCT 15, 2016
Bottle - 750mL crowned. Dark murky brown pour with a medium, frothy brown head. Aroma is huge toasted coconut and chocolate candy with coconut. It smells exquisite! Taste is cocoa, toasted coconut, chocolate candy with coconut, light spice, soft booze and a touch of dark fruit. Body is medium with a smooth, creamy carbonation. Light stickiness and a moderate warmth from the booze. Ends with a touch more alcohol, toasted coconut, chocolate and coconut candy, fainter dark fruit notes and cocoa. A nice surprise! Shared bottle at Craft. Poured turbid rusty brown color with off-white head. Nose was coconut, yeasty malt, plum. Tasted very fruity, with assertive coconut flavor, plum, prune, and yeasty malt. Finished a bit sweet, but very good. hershiser2 (3698) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - JUN 9, 2016
$12.99 bomber from Wine Warehouse. Pours hazy brown with an inch plus of tan head. Aroma is outstanding (if you like coconut): sweet coconut, toffee, caramel, chocolate: reminds me of the taste of an Almond Joy. Taste is incredibly similar. This is a liquid Almond Joy. I don’t like candy much, but that’s one candy bar I did enjoy getting on Halloween. Coconut, chocolate, raisin, caramel. Holy crap this is amazing. This was a liquid Mounds bar. Poured a slightly murky amber brown, slight head. Aroma was a Mounds bar. Coconut in your face. Flavor matched. Mounds bar. Luckily I like myself a good Mounds bar. Especially around Halloween. Keep those Almond Joys to yourself, no reason to adulterate coconut bliss with a stupid nut. In any case, there is a quad actually hiding underneath here, mostly making itself known with some very faint caramel and raisin notes, and some alcohol. But really, just think coconut. Liked this way more than I thought I would.
