Large 750 ml shared bottle.
A slightly funky tripel with enough barrel aging to have as much impact as the base beer. Lots of yeast and bourbon notes.
Recommended. Ratman197 (14952) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - FEB 2, 2016
750 ml bottle poured a clear amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of bread, fruitiness, bourbon, yeast and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, bourbon, fruitiness, yeast and oak with a smooth dry finish. hayduke (5548) - Eureka, California, USA - DEC 27, 2015
Sampled at GABF 2015, I believe this is the one I sampled. In the tasting glass was amber with a beige head. Nose of citrus and bourbon. Medium body. Flavor is dominated by the bourbon aging, but there is a lot of flavors hiding in there that makes this delicious. Need a bigger sample to figure all this out but overall this is a good beer and fun to drink.

Poured a medium, hazy amber, slight fizzy head. Aroma of caramel malts, vanilla, slight yeast spiciness, and a woodsy note. Flavor is a match. The barrel treatment is evident, and I feel like it muted a lot of the Belgian character, almost to the point of there being very little Belgian character. The malt profile was almost more English somehow. Not bad, but not what I had expected either. tsd08460 (1189) - Marshall, Virginia, USA - AUG 7, 2015
