Had this served in a maaskrug at the Lido restaurant in Riga. I may be giving this a slight better rating than it deserves, but every beer tastes better when it is served in a liter glass. It is very true to the Vienna style. Slightly less than a fest beer, but very drinkable. Decent head and carbonation. Good balance with hops and malt.

[2014-12-30, Riika] Punertavanruskea, tiivis vaahtofilmi. Tuoksussa toffeeta ja makeaa mallasta. Maussa makeaa maltaisuutta, joka loppuu karamellisuuteen ja kevyeen katkeroon. Suutuntumaltaan kermainen ja voimakkaan hiilihappoinen.

On tap in Riga Airport. Amber colour, hazy (unfiltered and unpasteurised), moderate head. Lovely aroma of butterscotch with notes of honey. Nice malty flavour with notes of toffee and a hint of honey. Not bad at all.

On keg at Lido in Riga. Pours a golden colour with a fair beige head. Aroma of caramel, yeast and biscuity malt. Similar flavours with a grassy hop linger. Moderate carbonation with a foamy mouth-feel and a little CO2 prickle. Not bad.

Draught at Lido in Tallinn. Amber body, nice head. Fresh malty aroma with some yeast. Taste is slightly caramelly and malty. Also some cookie-dough. Good.

Draught, 4.5% at LIDO. Cloudy amber colour. Very small head. The flavour is OK malty, with a little roasted malt. Perhaps also the tiniest note of smoke. Pleasantly mild carbonation. Simple, but nice.

Arom is a heavy muesli grain aroma, raw. A little dusty too. Taste is creamy but also slightly drying hoppiness. Pleasant but not brilliant. Hints of mud or mushrooms later.
Draught (Lido, Riga) (6:4:6:4:12=3.2)
6 lovely honey and milk, bready, soft and lush.
4 Slightly hazy amber, tight persistent head.
6 Lovely sweet bready taste, slight tang of hops

Draught at Alus seta, Riga. A sligtly hazy Vienna, with sweet fruit and flowers. Gives a summer feeling, but it a bit too sweet.

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2012 Re-rate, draught at Lido, Riga. Hazy amber, small head. Sweet and doughy. Medium bodied with soft mouthfeel. Bread and some syrup. Light malt bitterness. Draught at Lido, Tallinn, Estonia. Cloudy deep golden, creamy head. Mild citric nose. Sweetish with light-medium body and fairly clean mouthfeel. Some caramel. A little sourish and lacking in depth. Resiny bitterness. Off shape, if it hadnt been poured at one of Lidos own establishments I wouldnt have rated it ,now its been in their control all the way to my glass. (4/5/4/2/8=2.3)
