Bottle: Poured a hazy reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma is dark fruit almost berry with a sourish mix in there. The taste is a sweet caramel malt, but has this twisted sour fruit bite to it. Tranquillity (2571) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 25, 2008
Very full aroma, chocolate and something sour, yeast. Beige head, beautiful red brown body. Vanmille flavour right before swallowing, very milky. Good and balanced. FatPhil (17334) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - MAR 21, 2008

Dark brown, small tan head. Milky sweet and slightly sour aroma. Dark berries too. Soft carbonation. Taste also quite creamy, and slightly burnt, with a rich dark caramel component. Pretty full bodied, but very mellow. Hides the 6.5% very well. Looking forward to having this again.

Poured like diarrhea. Very toffee-ey. A bit thinner than before. A bit more of a bitter bite as the thinness lets the hops show a bit more. As this is well past its BB, I’ll not drop the rating.
Bottle. Reddish brwn with a nice beige head. Not much to offer in the aroma department. Sweet malt, caramel, molasses, yeast - all the expected stuff you’d usually find in a dubbel. Also a little anethole. Nothing bad about it; it’s just too vague and lacks character. Flavour is exactly the same, but I’ll give it a notch up from aroma because I happen to enjoy sweet malty beverages once in a while. faroeviking (11343) - Chupando chellas es como ellas, FAROE ISLANDS - FEB 11, 2008
Bottle. Pale dark brown colour. Sweet grainy caramel aroma. Sweet grainy malty flavour. Boring dubbel.

[Botte, tasting @ plan b] Clear brown with medium off white head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, prunes and figs. Sweet flavor with ripe fruits and roasted malt. Ends sweet. bu11zeye (13239) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - DEC 18, 2007
(Bottle, BB Mar 2008) Pours a mahogany body with a small beige head. Aroma of prunes, raisins, grape juice, chocolate, and toffee. Flavor of grapes, raisins, and caramel malt. Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - DEC 17, 2007
Dark brown with a red hue and a nice head. The aroma is malty and hoppy and the flavour is sweetish with notes of malt, caramel, hops and a nice bitterness. It’s a bit thin and ordinary. 1702 ha1ag (959) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - NOV 20, 2007
bottled at Take One in Maastricht. Clear deep ruby red with quickly diminsihing thick head, without lacing. Strange random patern in head. Redberry sweetish mouthfeel . Grassy and fruity aroma, but not bitter. Maybe overfiltered? ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 14, 2007
Bottled. Clear amber with a small but lasting white foam. Nuts, caramel and weak notes of estery fruit. Clean flavour of caramel, nuts and dried fruit. Light-bodied for the style. Sugary finsih with notes of caramel. Decent but felt a bit stale and indistrual.
