Solid and simple but unremarkable in any way. Light malt aroma. Medium sweet flavor with a hint of fruit. It does have a good palate but lacks complexity and character. Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 14, 2007
Dark brown colored, slight red hints. Little light brown head. Sweet aroma with chocolate and caramel. Medium bodied. Flavor is not as rich as aroma: malty and sweet with carbonated palate, maybe slight chocolate also comes up. rederic (3337) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 13, 2007
Hazy dark brown hue, with a frothy tan-colored head, but falling quickly, leaving laces, yeasty, fruity nose of prunes, raisins, dates, sweet toasted malt note, with some mochaish and chocolatey accents, hint of nutmeg, curaçao spiciness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a fruity date character, with some sweet toasted malt, and brown sugar notes, nice raisin, date, orange peel fruitiness, with a spicy nutmeg accent, touch of chocolate, leading towards a malty, dark dried fruits finish. jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - MAR 10, 2007
Bottled. Lovely aroma, prune, raisin, hint of chocolate, light spices. Very dark brown, beige head, good lace. Very sweet, brown sugar, some raisin and caramel. Little bit of sugarwater mouthfeel. Very easy and no compexity at all. GonZoBeeR (3061) - ste-catherine, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 2, 2007

Bottle. Brownish colour with a medium mostly lasting light brown head. Rich aroma and taste of malts and fruits. good beer. skortila (5850) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - JAN 9, 2007
Aroma of caramel malts, raisin and dark fruits. Clear, brown coloured with a frothy brown head. Taste is quite sweet/sugarry. Somewhat aromatic. Fruity, caramel malts, anise. Not a bad brew, but lacking balance and it has too much sweetness. Miksu (5053) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - JAN 6, 2007
0.33 l bottle. Dark mahagony color with persistent head. Sweet aroma with dark fruits, licorice, anise, cardboard and rotten egg. Sweet and spicy flavor with clove and dark fruits. Unpleasantly sugary and resembling soft drink. No balance. Seems like Riva is exploiting the Liefmans brand. jonsiii (165) - Fredericia, DENMARK - NOV 29, 2006
Bottle 33 cl. Nice foamy head, and a clear redbrown colour. Sweet aroma, almost like wine + raisins. Very easy to drink, recommended. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 23, 2006
(Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful, clear, reddish brown with a dense, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and dried fruits. Medium body with sweet, roasted malt and some vinous notes with dried fruit. A light, metallic edge. Very soft finish with a rather subdued bitterness. But a harmonious and not overly sweet Dubbel. 211106
