COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a mixed fermentation beer, with every hectolitre containing up to 13 kilos of fruit! Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a perfect blend of Oud Bruin and Goudenband from different vintages, and can consist of between 15 and 20 different batches of beers. The beer is matured for 18 months, bringing out the very best of its intense flavour. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a deep reddish-brown colour, with a pale head and wood and almond notes. On the palette, you can clearly taste the slightly sweet, yet at the same time gently bitter fruit flavours. This is a beer that just oozes class…

Quite lovely fresh cherries, cherry stones, dried fruits, bit too one dimensional sour with light sweetness. Decent

Bottle from Tesco, Burnley, as Cuvee Brut. Cloudy dark cherry-red with an extremely thin head. Has an initial sweetened cherry taste, with a small sourness in its aftertaste. There’s plenty of aroma.

Marjamehun värinen, vaaleanpunainen vaahto. Tuoksussa kirsikkaa ja marjoja. Maku marjaisa, mutta ei liian makea. Yllättävän hyvä. Jatkoa: Pidemmän päälle turhan makea ja kirsikkainen jälkimaku.

bartlebier (4084) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - AUG 1, 2016
Rebranded shmancy 33cl bottle, BL4 sampler - this used to be available at my grandmother’s and the corner pub in beautifully handwrapped paperfoil 37,5cl bottles - thanks Palm Craft Breweries for putting your goldrimmed Trump stamp on it. - Bref: manages to uphold the shine of natural cherry among the enhanced and finetuned artificial Haribo aromas, with a strong current of Oud Bruin running underneath. - Zestiness of lemonade meets juicy cherry, brown balsamics adding some lure. - Bitter almond adds a touch of class to the obvious kitsch. A hard sell in any foreign country obsessed with natural flavours, but a very drinkable easy beer creation beyond Radler and Oude Kriek alike.

330ml bottle at home in Richmond, as ’Liefmans Craft Blenders Kriek Brut’, ’blended in 2015’, 6%. Picked up in M&S for about £1.30. Very dark purple brown, clear ruby when held to light, pretty still, small pink head. Aroma is simple cherry juice and syrup, cherry ice pop, really reminds me of FAB lollies, some liquorice. Mostly sugary cherry. Body is pretty frothy, soft carbonation, airy, tooth-coating sugars. Taste is sweet cherry and metallics, cherry cola, cherryade, cherry Haribo etc etc. A bit of fun, but I really struggled to finish the bottle because of the sweetness. Argh I need to go to the dentist.

33cl bottle from Marks & Spencer, Camberley. A deep cherry colour with a big dense cream head; sour cherry aroma with a touch of plum; intense, sharp and sour cherry taste at first, but mellowing somewhat, and developing some stewed plum sweetness later. Exactly what a sour fruit beer should taste like.

Dark brown/red color with good big white head.Cherry, rasberry and citrus aroma. Very rich aroma.A little bit bitter, suprisingly not so sweet as expected. Cherry taste and bitter aftertaste. Very good drinkable beer!

Pours a dark red/brown color with a creamy beige head. Nose of dark fruit, cherry, raspberry, tartness. Sweet taste, not overly sweet thought. You get a bit of tartness near the end. Very well balanced. Excellent.

MPA (999) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - JUL 28, 2016
Bottle. Brown with a reddish touch and a huge beige head. Heavy aroma of cherries along with a little citrus/lime, marzipan and some wooden elements. Very sweet cherry flavour at first with a medium tart finish. Also traces of metal at the end. Very nice, but not the best kriek I’ve had.

rafax (369) - POLAND - JUL 22, 2016
Bottle. Brown/red color with small, pinkish, long lasting head and surprisingly good lacing. Aromas of cherry, wine some acidic notes, fresh and pleasant. Taste is first little bit sweet, then light acidic with sour finish. Light to medium body, very fresh, very drinkable, very dangerous :)
