COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a mixed fermentation beer, with every hectolitre containing up to 13 kilos of fruit! Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a perfect blend of Oud Bruin and Goudenband from different vintages, and can consist of between 15 and 20 different batches of beers. The beer is matured for 18 months, bringing out the very best of its intense flavour. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a deep reddish-brown colour, with a pale head and wood and almond notes. On the palette, you can clearly taste the slightly sweet, yet at the same time gently bitter fruit flavours. This is a beer that just oozes class

Very nice. This was not a typical sour but more like a kriek. Pleasant fruit and cherry aroma. Dark ruby color with minimal and quickly disappearing head. Smooth palate with a dry finish. Very fruity with a cherry sweetness and tartness. Little alcohol presence. Refreshing.

Dark red, with a pink-ish, frothy head. Aroma of vanilla, dark cherries, wood, with a hint of almond, marzipan, fermentation aromas like youd get from cider. Taste is dry, tart, with medium bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with sparkling carbonation.
Very straight and juicy. Almost a bit kitschy. But what the hell, its actually good, although it reminded me of cherry cola at times.

At Bruges Beer Fest 2017. Pours clear dark red with a foamy white head that leaves lacing. The aroma contains cherry and marzipan. It tastes medium to heavy sweet and light sour. Medium body, fizzy carbonation, quenching. A good Kriek.

V sweet throughout: nose mainly glac cherry, but also like a bit of sherbert of caramel atop it. Mouth almost Black Forest Gateaux, with the unexpected malt presence. Almond-y sweetness, which transitions into sherry on the way out. #1001Beers-No.180

Brown color with a minimal and quickly diminishing off-white head. Aroma is sourish with cherry notes. Flavor is slightly sour, red fruits in a good proportion , mainly cherries and berries. Light sourness in the final. Flat carbonation.

Bottle, 0.33l. Pours cloudy ruby brown with thin quickly diminishing tan-like head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of cherries, must, tannins, vinegar and funk. Taste starts with sweet and sour cherry, following is mild malty and tart fruity, while finish is mild bitter. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Surprisingly sweet for a blend of sour browns. Minus and minus equals plus?

UPDATED: JAN 3, 2017 From a 330ml bottle on 3/1/2017. Pours an opaque reddy brown with not much head. The aroma is fruity and spritzy, with strawberry and raspberry most prominent. Its all sweet berries and cherries up front, with just a barest hint of bitterness to counter. The palate is quite thick and syrupy, with average to lively carbonation. Not necessarily my sort of beer, but well made and refreshing.
