This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a mixed fermentation beer, with every hectolitre containing up to 13 kilos of fruit! Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a perfect blend of Oud Bruin and Goudenband from different vintages, and can consist of between 15 and 20 different batches of beers. The beer is matured for 18 months, bringing out the very best of its intense flavour. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a deep reddish-brown colour, with a pale head and wood and almond notes. On the palette, you can clearly taste the slightly sweet, yet at the same time gently bitter fruit flavours. This is a beer that just oozes class…

The taste is also much better than I expected. Dryer. More complex. Still dominated by the cherries, but mixing more aggressively than the nose. Wood? Yeah, we’ve got that. Tart? Heck yeah. Vinegar? Slight enough to be interesting, yet not effect the drinkability. This stuff just flows down my throat. I could drink half a gallon of this stuff. It’s very well done and ever so drinkable.

sample at Kyiv Beer Fest, Oct 7 2017 Look: clear rotten cherry, almost no head. Aroma: dried cherries, sticky sour cherry sirupy notes. Taste: light sweetness, moderate to light sourness. It is plain but pleasant sour cherry beer balanced on the sweet side. Good.

Some vinegar, Rodenbach Grand Cru, mold, wet wood. Cloudy brown to red color with small tan to even pinkish head. Medium sour and sweet, good balance, cherry, Griotte. Medium body, lively carbonation. //bottle from some supermarket in a small town near Salzburg

BBE 02/2025. Punertavan ruskehtava väri, mieto häipyvä vaahto. Suutuntuma hampaita syövän imelän hapan, makea, nautittavan hyvä.

Doesn't look that appealing when poured to be honest. Colour is a bit turgid brown/red. Good cherry aroma which is in the taste. A bit sour and woody with some tart bitterness ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 ml bottle, clear red with pink-ish head which is quickly diminishing. lots of cherries in the aroma with a nice fruity sourness. medium to light sweetness. medium body. slightly dry finish which kind of makes it very refreshing

Toll!
