COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a mixed fermentation beer, with every hectolitre containing up to 13 kilos of fruit! Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a perfect blend of Oud Bruin and Goudenband from different vintages, and can consist of between 15 and 20 different batches of beers. The beer is matured for 18 months, bringing out the very best of its intense flavour. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a deep reddish-brown colour, with a pale head and wood and almond notes. On the palette, you can clearly taste the slightly sweet, yet at the same time gently bitter fruit flavours. This is a beer that just oozes class…

Pours a deep brown with a red tinge. Nose is full of cherries. Taste is very sweet upfront, big cherry presence, slightly sugary with a sharp tart and slightly sour finish. Good dessert beer

Great beer for a hot summers day. The cherry flavour is unusual and unique. Will drink again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From bottle in Belgian ale glass. Pours deep reddish brown with a pinkish hue that taints the head as well. Aroma of cherries and a hint of brown sugar, taste of fresh cherries with woody notes in the finish. Delish

KeefOz (1925) - Tarragindi, AUSTRALIA - DEC 1, 2017
Poured a translucent to clear red-brown with a two-finger light pink frothy heat that retained well before diminishing to a blotchy cap that laced poorly. Carbonation high, lively and with medium sized bubbles. Aroma is soft with nice sweet cherry, slightly sour fruits and hints of vanilla. Taste is quite fruity with of nice dark cherries, a slight sourness mid-palate followed by moderate to high sweetness (a bit like added sugar but not as sweet as other Kriek-style beers); very low bitterness. Light body. Smooth with a very slight dryness and a short sweet finish.

Look: clear rotten cherry, almost no head.

Aroma: dried cherries, sticky sour cherry sirupy notes.
Taste: light sweetness, moderate to light sourness.

It is plain but pleasant sour cherry beer balanced on the sweet side.

Good.
