This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a mixed fermentation beer, with every hectolitre containing up to 13 kilos of fruit! Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a perfect blend of Oud Bruin and Goudenband from different vintages, and can consist of between 15 and 20 different batches of beers. The beer is matured for 18 months, bringing out the very best of its intense flavour. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a deep reddish-brown colour, with a pale head and wood and almond notes. On the palette, you can clearly taste the slightly sweet, yet at the same time gently bitter fruit flavours. This is a beer that just oozes class…

Bottle. Pours red with a very small off-white head. Aroma is slightly sweet with sour cherry and barnyard aromas. Flavor is rather sweet with slightly sour cherry and malt notes. Nice dry sour cherry finish. Overall good but a little sweet.

Pours a deep dark burgundy red with a lightly pink head that slowly dissolves into nothing. The aroma is mainly dominated by cherries and sweet perfume. The flavour is sweet, and sour, with a good bold cherry flavour, much like a sour cherry sucker. All and all, the best sour ale, and the best fruit beer i’ve had so far. A tasty beverage.

mcbackus (758) - Merritt Island, Florida, USA - MAY 26, 2008
bottle courtesy joekinty: pours a good dark cherry colour with a decent nice off white head. the aroma is fantasticly fresh cherries, yeast, and some sourness. flavour is a great fresh cherry, one of the better cherry flavours i have had in a kriek, under the fruit is some good malts also.

lachesis (757) - St Idesbald, BELGIUM - APR 30, 2005
Intens deep red color with fluffy pink head. Powerfull cherry aroma’s and hints of Clarks Cherry flavoured chewing-Gum. Attack in the mouth is sweet and sour with a smooth and round mouthfeel. The texture is cherry-tart like (sweet and refreshing). Nice fruitcandy afthertaste.

bjakk (756) - Skagafjordur, ICELAND - MAY 23, 2014
Red with pinkish foam that lasts. Sour, fruity candy. Sweet candy sour. Nice sweet aftertaste. High in carbon. A really nice one.

Brewed in Belgium !!! Pours a reddish brown color with a small off white head. Aroma is dominated by the smell of sweet cherries, with some funk and sour pits. Taste is of course cherries with a slight tart finish. The mouthfeel is well balanced and there is some mild lacing and carbonation. If you like something sweet this is for you.

Sten (752) - Westerlo, BELGIUM - JUL 25, 2005
Dark red colour The 25cl bottle is more sour than the 37.5cl corked one (that one is more sweeter). A aroma of real cherries (not an artificial aroma), they didn’t add to much sugar. A really good ’kriek’. (Bottle 25cl,corked bottle 37.5cl)
