Red brown colour with a large light brown head. Very sweet aroma. Quite artificial. The sourness in flavour and finish is indulged in the sweetness of the cherry. jujubeast6000 (854) - Houston, Texas, USA - AUG 20, 2007
(bottle): Pours a reddish brown color, dark. Slight reddish-white head. Creamy, small bubbles. Enticing Very sour aroma, sour cherries. Similar aroma to an oude geuze. Very sour taste. Puckering.. Fizzy. Very good. mullet (849) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - OCT 1, 2004
Red-brown colour, with a pink-tinged head. Slightly artificial cherry aroma, quite oaky, marzipan and slightly sour and vinegary. Tastes of sweet cherries initially, then a nice sourness comes through but it is swamped in the finish by a weird artificial sweetness which kinda ruins the whole experience. Pretty much like 2 parts Belle-Vue Kriek and 1 part Rodenbach Grand Cru. Has some outstanding qualities but they are really masked by the sweetness. This beer makes me think Rodenbach Alexander wouldn’t have been all that good, but I’m definitely fired up to try their Goudenband now. Thanks again to beer_ledgend. A red-coloured and fresh kriek with stong notes of cherry - both swet and a bit acidity. Very good. gr_pa (846) - siemianowice, POLAND - JUN 28, 2017
Red, nice, dense head, quite high carbonation. Aroma: cherries, cherries, light caramel, some funky notes. Lightly sour, quite a lot of sweetness, Cherry flavour.

2014/03/25 - Pours a dark red-mahogany colour with a small, fizzy, light pink head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is cherries, wood, sweet grains and mild funk. Taste is rather sweet moderately sour. Notes of sour cherries, vanilla, lemon, tobacco, toffee and very mild funk. Mouthfeel is medium and sticky with high, crisp carbonation and a sweet, drying finish.

750ml bottle. I’m a sucker for Belgian fruit beers, and well, this is the best I have had. I will preface this review with, "I love it!" Pours a hazy garnet colour with a short lived rosy beige head. The nose is cherry pie filling, a light floral note, faint earthiness, and tart candies. The taste is full on "Cherry Blasters" candy. Seriously. Tartness, sweetness, sour cherry with a little citrus in the finish. This is a well balanced dessert beer, and I love it. I love it so much. Jesus this is good! Bouteille 375 ml. Une bière sucrée tout en cerises, fruits séchés et malts. Équilibre à revoir, mais boisson rafraichissante et particulièrement agréable par les chaudes journées. Hopper (827) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - OCT 4, 2010
375 ml bottle cork and cage with red paper wrapped around. Cap stamp 08/2017. Liquid Town. Corpus Christi. A burgundy beer with almost no head. The aroma is very sour, loads of balsamic vinegar, caramel, and cherries. By the time I got to the first drink this was completely flat. The taste is a lot of balsamic vinegar and really reminds me of Duchesse with that same hit of sweetness in the end. gilvanblight (825) - Windsor, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 28, 2007
Extreme head with a slight pink tinge. Strong tart scent. Slightly thick and syropy mouth. Bitter sweet, no make that tart and sweet. Candy like but less sweet. Not bad but I am not a huge fruit beer fan. I should taste hops and malt not berries in my beer.
