COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a mixed fermentation beer, with every hectolitre containing up to 13 kilos of fruit! Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a perfect blend of Oud Bruin and Goudenband from different vintages, and can consist of between 15 and 20 different batches of beers. The beer is matured for 18 months, bringing out the very best of its intense flavour. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a deep reddish-brown colour, with a pale head and wood and almond notes. On the palette, you can clearly taste the slightly sweet, yet at the same time gently bitter fruit flavours. This is a beer that just oozes class…

It starts nicely tart then goes to a sweetness that fades fast to a dry long finish. The cherries taste very natural. This really is beer not lemonade like some in the style. Very nice!

330 ml bottle, clear red with pink-ish head which is quickly diminishing. lots of cherries in the aroma with a nice fruity sourness. medium to light sweetness. medium body. slightly dry finish which kind of makes it very refreshing

Toll!

330ml bottle. Pours slightly hazy dark red colour. Medium white head. Sweet aroma of artificial cherries or chewing gum, notes of strawberries as well. Sweet beginning. Cherries and seeetness in the middle. Notes of strawberries, sweetness in the end. Sirupy finish. Sweet aftertaste. Rather light bodied, quite sweet brew.

Kort eftersmak.

Bottle at The Bottle Lab, Leek. Pours a deep ruby colour with a medium light pink head. Aroma of sour cherry, slight wood and subtle vinegar. Taste of black cherry, some wood, slight tartness, a little caramel and subtle acidity. Medium bodied and a slick texture. A dry, subtle tart, cherry finish. Dry but tart, slightly acidic and woody cherry. A more refined cherry lambic.

I think it is a very special kriek. The taste is quite complex. IT’s woody, fruity, at the same time, and I can feel a bit coriander too. I think it is perfect for special events.
