Infinitely complex in aroma and flavor with notes of maltiness and tartness throughout. An unsurpassed old brown with the richness and complexity of a vintage wine.

Aromas of wine and brown sugar malt. Deep brown with no head. Sour, but not as much as I was expecting from this beer. The back of the taste is complex with notes of deep malt, wine, and dark fruit. Medium bodied with a tart finish.

A brown-red ale with a sweet, fruity aroma. Pours clear with a beige, creamy head. Lightly sour, fruity bite, rich malts. Complex and wine-like, nice.

Butelka 0,33l. Ciemne, z rubinowymi przebłyskami, piana momentalnie redukuje się do obwdki. W aromacie nuty winne, trochę dziko, trochę słodowo, w kierunku karmelu. W smaku umiarkowana kwaśność, nuty chlebowe, palone, karmelowe. Umiarkowane nasycenie. Karmelowy posmak.

Pours dark brown/ruby with a small, dense, fizzy head. Nose is cherries and tart berries, caramel, crystal malts, plum jam, cherry wine, Jerez. Taste is mild tartness backed by fruity, bittersweet and metalic malts. Hints of plum jam and brandied cherries. Medium body, oily mouthfeel, low carbonation. An amazingly complex beer. Thank you, Rosa Merckx.

Lots of forest fruits in nose including raspberries, strawberries, red currant. Some vinegar and funk in the background. Pours ruby with small, unstable white head. Taste is sweet-sour with berries, caramel, vinegar and some funky notes. Finish is very low bitter, slightly tart. Overall very tasty.

bottle, vintage 2006. Hazy brown, fluffy head. Berries and cherries dominate on a robust malty base. Hints of honey. Tart but not too sour, very well balanced. Delicious.

DAA; Bottle 330ml, blended in 2015. Pours moderate to large, brown with a lasting, creamy, frothy, light brown head. Nose is moderate to heavy malt, caramel, moderate, berries, cherries, light toasted almonds and spice. Taste is medium sweet, sour and light bitter with a lasting, sparkling fruity caramel finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is average. Served with no paper wrapping, despite Christmas, but still enjoyed to the fullest.
