COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This classy beer represents the perfect marriage between the fresh accents and slightly acidic flavour of the black cherries. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a mixed fermentation beer, with every hectolitre containing up to 13 kilos of fruit! Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a perfect blend of Oud Bruin and Goudenband from different vintages, and can consist of between 15 and 20 different batches of beers. The beer is matured for 18 months, bringing out the very best of its intense flavour. Liefmans Kriek-Brut is a deep reddish-brown colour, with a pale head and wood and almond notes. On the palette, you can clearly taste the slightly sweet, yet at the same time gently bitter fruit flavours. This is a beer that just oozes class…

Beautiful texture! Some sour bite, this may sound disgusting but some appealing wet bandage smell. Lacks Lindemann's residual sweetness. Very nice.

Outstanding! I ordinarily don't like Belgian fruit beers as much as the gueuzes and abbey ales, but this is a treat. Completely lacking in the sugariness of the other krieks I've had, it is nice and sour, good as an aperitif or even with a cigarillo.

A good sweet-sour mix, one of the best 'Kriek's' I think....................

My first 'real' entrant into the world of sour beers. I must say it was very impressive and not as champagne like as expected. Nice sour-sweet mix that wasn't overwhleming with a subtle but tasty cherry backdrop. Guess I can move on to the good ones now?

The cherry flavor is there, but this ain't no Lindeman's Kriek, baby. Much more sour and tangy. Very satisfying.

Nutty, earthy, and barnyardy, with a late-bursting fruitiness. Very nice...

UPDATED: APR 20, 2003 dark red-brown colour, thin dense head, deep cherry and vinegar aroma with notes of alcohol, nice acidity, crisp, refreshing, full-bodied, long cherry finish . a beautiful brew
