On tap @ Bergen Craft Beer Fest. Pours cloudy, dark brown, with a finger thick creamy, brown head. Aroma is tart fruity notes of plums and berries, with wood and slightly acetic notes. Caramel, vinegar, dark fruits in nose. Pours brown with beige head. Taste is medium sweet and moderate sour with flavours of dark fruits, caramel, brown sugar and vinegar. 0.25 l bottle from ’Prik & Tik Baelus’, best before June 2017. Clear, deep brownish red with a thin, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, slightly sourish, a bit fruity aroma of caramel, vinegar, red grapes and wood. Sweetish-sourish, slightly fruity taste of caramel, red grapes, cherries, wood and some vinegar, followed by a short, slightly woody-tart, a bit vinous finish. Medium body, slightly astringent and a bit effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Decent.
