Pours a red/brown color with a ripened fruit aroma. Taste is cherry tart mixed with a sour citrus flavor. Notes of prune and raisins. A slight sweet acidic aftertaste that ends dry and very drinkable.

Old rating. Sweet, but not too complex. Flanders brown red color. Oak, cherry, malts, lightly tart, very sweet. Okay stuff.

25 cl. bottle poured in to a Snifter. Dark brown colour with a reddish tinge. Dense, lightly tanned head. Acidic aroma with sour cherries, wooden notes, berries, citrus, light caramel malts. Taste is sour. Medium body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes dry and tart with cherries, wooden notes and a good fruitiness. Not the most complex and sour Oud Bruin I had. However, a nice, refreshing beer.

Bottle 25cl from Bierhall de Koninck, @ home. Cola color, white thin head. More accessible than most other oud bruin, a bit too sweet and somehow lacking of complexity. Good though.

Fin lgre sucre fruit cerise.

On keg at Holyrood 9A. This said 6% on the pump clip, so slightly confused. Appearance - brown with a thin head. Nose - sour, dried fruits, HP sauce, a little winey too. Taste - more of the same. Would be great with food. Palate - light to medium bodied with a texture through the middle section which is very tight but very powerful. This continues through the finish which lasts ages. Overall - the original and the best in terms of Flemish Brown.

Tap at Shep 1/31/12. Clear brown, thinner white head. Nose is malty, hint of sour cherries and oak. Flavor is lightly tart, carbonation provides some bite but that minimizes quickly. Overall flavor is light, crisp but with great Flanders flavor.

Wunderbar.

Bottle from Calisky - thank you, Fred. The beer has got a deep brown colour with an low head and medium body. Aroma of acid and malt. Taste of mild malt, mild vinegar, bread, barley, unripe berries and woods. Light acid finish with some bread aftertaste. Not bad but I expected more.
