COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Liefmans is a unique, refreshing blend of beers, ripened on real cherries in our cellars, blended with natural fruitjuices of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, billberry and elderberry. The result is a slightly Champenoise pearling, fruity, and agreably sweet drink, sparkling and refreshing.

Als "on the rocks", rotes bier schöner schaum, in der nase ein ein Mix roter früchte etwas säure ganz nett, im Geschmack recht unauffällig, rote früchte etwas säure nicht zu süß, von bier ist kaum was zu erkennen, aber lässt sich unangestrengt trinken...

ganache (5896) - New Jersey, USA - FEB 6, 2017
8.5oz bottle marked 08 2016, quite a rip. Nose essentially cloying fruit, strong cherry and strawberry and raspberry, roughly co-equal with frequent switching of the olfactory targeting. Pour is hazy dark pink, collects to a muddy dark red in the glass, fully opaque with a short and soapy light pink head. Taste is very, very sweet but soft on the tongue; lots of obvious candy references, including some cassis and grape that I didn’t expect, and subtle lactic elements. Sugary but moderately digestible, and the fruits that are here are really quite good and juicy. Carbonation is relatively mild, which I find a better choice than aggressive "champagning", and though the bold flavors saturate my tongue, the sweetness never becomes too much. Medium body but could swing higher or lower depending on your context. Easy to hate the mainstreaming, but kudos to them for trying something new and pulling it off -- there’s absolutely a place for this in the beer world. [2017.01.06: 3.2]

Bottle from Beers of the World. Pours a bright red with pink head. Aroma of cherry and strawberry. Way too sweet for me with nothing to balance it.

250 ml bottle. Clear red color with small white head. Fine smell raspberries and cherry. Good taste pleasant taste of fruits mostly cherry and raspberries with some sweet strawberries and soda. Short aftertaste mostly like some fruit lemonade. I like it as fruit beer.

Bottle 25cl. as Fruitesse On The Rocks, from a local Vomar supermarket, poured right from the fridge into a cold teku glass. Clear ruby red, small foamy pinkish head, diminishing quickly, light lacing; sweet kinda artificial fruity nose, aroma red fruits esp. cherries, berries, fruit syrup, candy; taste heavy sweet, fruity, candy, syrupy; taste continues in the aftertaste leading to a fruity finish with a light bitter touch; light body, sticky texture, soft carbonation; fresh and fruity and of course very sweet, but sometimes I don’t mind.

Keeping in mind that this is a fruitbeer intended as a "cocktail" i must say is pretty good. The appearance is turbid but clear with a very nice red color. In the aroma you can appreciate the smell of the yeast and the malt but also the berries. It has a strong cherry, blueberry, cranberry and strawberry flavor with a very nice malic acidity. It is sweet but super balanced. I like it a lot.
