Great beer, like it right out of the tap at the brewery, plus I got two bottles from the brewery cards04 (2917) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - FEB 8, 2014
Great Belgian ale. Thanks malster85 for this one. Pours a reddish caramel color. Aromas are nice and malty. Sweet caramel aromas with warm spices. Beautiful anise aromas. Flavors are bready and caramel. Warm spices and anise. Good stuff. gopherfan99 (2012) - Minnesota, USA - MAR 23, 2014
Tap at Lift Bridge for beer release party. Golden copper pour with a white head. Sweet tasting with a little bit of spice. Nice winter seasonal. deyholla (12205) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 10, 2016
Sampled from the tap at Red Cow North Loop. Pours a clear gold with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of grain supported by light fruits, Belgian yeast and a bit of straw. Flavor has a bit more of that light fruit and Belgian yeast combination with a sweet grain and straw backbone. BustedFlat (554) - Edina, Minnesota, USA - MAR 14, 2009
On tap at Mad Cappers in Stillwater, MN. Looked to be reddish brown in the low light. Lightly spicey aroma. Taste of Belgian yeast, clove and spice. Bready finish. Went well with a meal. Nicely done.

Bottle to glass. Aroma is pretty solid with a little bit of the anise noticable in licorice form with lots of yeasty goodness going on. A little bit of vanilla as well once you let warm up. Hazy gold-amber pour with nice white head. This beer was a lot of fun to gauge as it warmed up. There was a but of spiciness to it as well. This was a big hit at the new years eve party. I will pick up more of this for sure Pawola22 (3262) - Woodridge, Illinois, USA - JAN 20, 2013
22oz bottle from Atom, thanks Adam! Pours a crystal clear, deeper gold colored body with a finger-width, frothy and creamy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is somewhat sweet with honey and Belgian yeast up front as well as a mix of licorice, banana, vanilla, and spices. A bit bready with maybe a touch of citrus. Flavor is similar. Some honey, bready caramels, and grains up front with a medium-light sweetness as well as a soft vanilla, Belgian yeast, a few estery fruit notes, banana, clove, and a touch of licorice. Finishes clean and dry with a light bitterness before leaving a lengthy aftertaste with some licorice, vanilla, and spice lingering. Medium body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty solid beer. Easy drinking and well balanced with a lot going on. Love the vanilla, licorice, and honey combination with the lightly spiced Belgian yeast. Good one. Pours a very cloudy golden orange with thick cream coored head. Aroma is clove, orange zest and candi sugar. Flavor is very reminiscent of a tripel style but a bit of a tart bite. Not as sweet as the aoma suggests. notes of coriander and mild hopes present. Body light/creamy but light carbonation. ryanfolty (2604) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - JAN 20, 2012
Tap at Pig and Fiddle on January 20, 2012. Orangish brown pour maybe but this damn bar is too dark to tell for sure. Aroma is bready, sweet, little honey. Taste is similar to aroma with a spicy kick and throw in a mild bitter and dry finish.
