On tap at Champps in Brookfield. Stephan, you come through again, sir! Brown-tan pour. Little head. Caramel, sweet & sour fruit nose. A touch of cherry. Taste is sweet malt, and dark & sweet fruits. A touch of chocolate and cherry. Lot of different components show in this down though the glass. More than medium bodied, the blend is good. Finishes much more sweet than bitter on that bitter-sweet scale. Solid and tasty brew. Quite pleased. 13.9 emacgee (4724) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - SEP 7, 2017

2012 bottle shared at the February MDBG tasting. Hazy bronze, thin fizzy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of cardamom, toffee, brown sugar, candied citrus. The taste is cardamom, candied citrus, booze, toffee. Medium bodied, boozy, hot. Aged very well. joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - JAN 21, 2016
2013 bottle. It pours a lightly hazed dark amber color with a small off white head. The aroma is full with rich bread and fruit. Lots of raisin bread, bourbon, caramel, fig... pretty nice actually. The flavor is the same. Raisin bread, bourbon, fig, and caramel. The cardamom is there, but has faded pretty profusely. There’s a very light hint of roast and nuts near the finish that aids in the dryness. The mouthfeel isn’t overly alcoholic or syrupy. Pretty drinkable for what it is. I really liked this one. I imagine the age has helped this one.
