This pale golder, Belgian-influenced ale is for everyone: Farm Girl, wannabe Farm Girl. In the Belgian Farmhouse tradition, this brew has a dry malt finish and a spicyness that only Belgian yeasts can create. Smooth and well rounded... this one can please anyone in any situation, whether you are on the water, in the sun, or hiding from winterís chill.

Bottle at Marx, Stillwater. Canít believe Iíve never rated this as Iíve had it a number of times. It was a favorite among beer aficionados and non during our groomís dinner in Stillwater a couple of days ago. Murky, light orange with a quickly dissipating head. An excellent, easy drinking saison. Most true to style beer Iíve had from Lift Bridge.

12oz. bottle to my favorite snifter. Aroma is... I not sure I canít get much out of it. Some wheat honey and faint citrus and flowers very faint. Appearance is great murky gold yellow with minimal head and lacing. Taste I feel like I have a Blue Moon in my hand. A lot of wheat honey and citrus in the tasat with dry finish. Palate is thin and dry with little fizz. Overall I think its like drinking a Blue Moon which really isínt my thing anymore, It is definitly not bad a very drinkable beer.

Tap in Republic, Minneapolis. Wheaty, grainy, flat looking yellow in colour, a little sweet, good yeasty feel, quenching. Maybe not the most complex beer ever made but very refreshing.

Has a very light wheat/bread scent, and pours a light golden color. Has a nice Belgian taste to it. Very drinkable and would be good in the summer.

pours hazy gold with a medium foamy white head. Aroma is grainy/corny malt, some yeasty tones, some kind of vegetable thing going on. Maybe the corn mixed with the herbal hop...? lemony citrus as well as some herbal hop tones. Flavour is earthy herbal -hay hop over light grainy and biscuity malt. Some lemony tones in the finish.

GAManiac (1944) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - FEB 16, 2010
12oz bottle courtesy of buebie. Pours a very light and very clear yellow with a small bubbly white head that recedes slowly to a solid collar but leaves no trace of lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet with some green apples and apricots on top of grass and Belgian yeast spiciness. The taste is light and almost watery with some grassy hops up front and apples and pears following closely. The finish is dry and very much like a pilsner honestly. In fact, the whole thing tastes more like a pilsner than a saison now that I think about it. The mouthfeel is light bodied and extremely crisp and clean for the style. Itís got very little spiciness that I would expect in the style. This is a solid and very drinkable beer but I donít think itís really great for the style, as it offers very little complexity.

12 oz. bottle acquired via trade with tennisjoel. Pale yellow pour with a thick, frothy white head. Aroma of leather, sweat, and yeast. Actually the aroma is similar to walking into a womanís hair salon. Flavor is light and satisfying with notes of lemon and orange along with some bread. Not bad.

Slightly cloudy yellow. Yeast lactic smells lemon citric. Tastes of funk dust yeast bananas barley. Some pleasant lactic mouthfeel. Slightly watery but a great light saison.
