COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This IPA pushes the boundaries (BJCP American IPA top-7.5% ABV/70 IBU) and delivers what you would expect. This aggressively hoped IPA awakens the senses with aromas of citrus, fruit, and pine but will bombard your taste buds (with hops, a subtle malt sweetness and notes of caramel) that will put a smile on your face. Available for a limited time on draft.

Formerly known as Hop Prop IPA.

Pours a dark, golden-yellow, with little in the way of head. Strong hop-pine nose. Flavor is dominated by the piney-bitter hops, with citrus notes and some subtle, underlying malt sweetness. Nice, clean mouthfeel with bitter hop finish. This is a strong IPA.

tmoreau (3843) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - DEC 2, 2016
On tap at the brewery and served as part of a six flight platter, showing a clear, medium gold color, with a frothy layer of soft white foam, and doily-like lacing. The nose was some bready/crusty malt, lively citrus, a touch of resin, and a bit of fruit preserves sweetness. Medium bodied, with good carbonation, moderate citrus & rind bitterness, and a presentably dry finish. A decent style offering.

Had this in cans and its great. I didnt pour it into a glass, but I gave it a 5 on appearance because the label is nicely done. I find this to be a well rounded IPA with many citrus notes and a perfect malt back end. I will drink this again.

ACHops (1427) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 13, 2016
On tap @ Target Field. Pours murky medium orange with thin off-white head. Aroma is light citrusy hops, mild caramel malt. Taste is likewise - hops are not huge for the style, but with plenty of grapefruit pith and orange flavor. Solid body, not overly sweet, but lacking much notable flavor. Better than average for an upper Midwest IPA.

On tap at Tony Romas, Mall of America. Resinous pine and grapefruit peel aroma and flavor with a perfect bitterness level and gentle caramel malt backbone. Medium carbonation, medium body.

On tap at Broadway Pizza Robbinsdale. Golden in color with small white head. Not much carbonation. Full hop aroma. Good blend of hops and malt. Not overly bitter, despite the strong hop aroma.

Can. Pours a slightly hazy copper body with a small wispy white head. The nose is more caramel and crystal malt than hops, it smells quite sweet. The hops that make it past are citrusy with a bit of pine. The flavor is much like the aroma suggested, rather minimal bitterness, lightly citrusy, plenty of caramel and brown sugar like maltiness. Light lingering piney hops. Medium bodied, a little clingy, with soft fizzy carbonation. Meh, decent, but Id prefer it a lot drier.

A gift from a friend. A yellow pour, a white head that disappears almost immediately. Generally sweet. OK.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured clear, orange in color, small off white head and spotty lacing. Aroma of malts and hops combined with some fruit notes. Taste is malty and fruity, slightly bitter. Very good IPA, well balanced, and very enjoyable.
