Our summer seasonal, Belgian Tripel infused with hundreds of pounds of lingonberries leaving this beer incredibly complex, tart, and with a wonderful pink color that is reminder of the Minnesota Tan.

12 oz bottle from the Four Firkins. Orange colored pour (no pink, not sure where that comes in) with a slight head that quickly fades to pretty much nothing. Smells a bit like a trippel with some fruity aromas, Im guessing the lingonberries but cant confirm since Im not too familiar with the fruit. Flavor is tart with the lingonberry flavor really coming through. Finish is a bit dry and leaves some of that fruit behind. Alcohol is well hidden for 8.5%.

Bottle. Pilsner yellow pour, ongoing carbonation and a good fruity belgian tripel aroma. Flavor is sweet malt, some barely noticeable fruit and finished a little tart. Slightly above average at best, really wanted to taste the berries more.

I loved it at Indulge, but subsequent samples over the next few days were disappointing. It seemed less fruity when I had it at the Muddy pig and overly sweet when I sampled some at Stub & Herbs. The lingonberries dominated the aroma and flavor in the initial tasting though in the space of a week all I could taste was sugar.

On tap at Herb and Stubs. Some faint lambic/fruit to it It is not a tripel as noted here. No tripel taste at all. Very average.

UPDATED: JUL 17, 2009 On draught at the Happy Gnome in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear reddish gold colored brew with a thin and fast dissolving pinkish white head that dissipates clean with no ring and no lacing. Aroma of light apple cider with semi-sweet lingonberries and some tropical fruit. Taste is light to medium bodied, no carbonation whatsoever, with a watered down apple and berry juice flavor. Finish has a slight plastic and vulcanized rubber aftertaste that I could not complete drinking. Compared to other reviews either I had a bad batch or evil spirits were added to the keg. Willing to try again.

Draught at Moto-I. Light red color. Aroma with some yeast and malt, a little sugar, and fruit. Flavor is similar. A very sweet beer. More yeast, and lots of berries with some malt sweetness. Medium palate. Like everything from Lift Bridge, this is a step above. When you read the description, one might think of a beer with a little fruit and a bad tripel, but this this beer is quality. The fruit essence is authentic, rather than artificial.

Tap at Stub and Herbs. Light red/almost pink color with a large head. Light aroma of tart fruit (which makes sense). Wheat, sugar and light fruit flavor. A little vinous and tannic.

First rating for MN Tan! Whoo hoo! TAP: had this at the Indulge event on 6.20.09, and the St. Paul Beer Fest on 6.28.09. Pinkish pour, fruity and slightly spicy nose. Taste is tart (lingonberries), fruity, and simply yummy. Great brew!
