On tap @GarricksHeadPub. Smoky caramel; big tasty malt. Flat, flavourful, smooth and pub-sessionable.

On tap. Pours a hazy brown/amber with light head. Aromas of light smoke and malts. Flavors are similar but full and enjoyable especially for the low ABV. Nice

Growler. 4.6% I think? Pours deep copper, little head. Aroma is medium malt, caramelization. Light hop fruitiness in the background. Light caramel flavour, light hoppiness. No peat in this (not complaining). Finish is caramel more than anything. Could have a touch of choc malt, not sure, but certainly tastes like it to me. Very simple ale that really needs to be on cask to appreciate fully. Could have some NZ hops this time around, but could be my imagination as its very slight and maybe the caramel is coming across as mango. Pretty thin. Alright.

Bottle split with mcberko. Pours Amber orange/brown with a small white, creamy head. Aroma of caramel malt, dark fruit, light hops. Flavour is light with hints of caramel, floral hops, and maybe a little herb spice. Fairly one dimensional, but Ive definitely had worse. Average.

341mL bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours golden orange with an off-white head. Nose of slightly roasted caramel malts, light butterscotch and some metallic notes. Flavour of essentially the same, with a finish of a cross of butterscotch and the metallic notes. Nothing special here.

Good ale that really suits the event it coincides with. Great flavour and aroma with a nice overall finish. If your ever at the event make sure you give it a try.
