Another tasty special release from lighthouse! Great hops flavour comes through along with abundant pilsner malts. A little too sweet but otherwise very well balanced.
650 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow/brown with light head. Aromas of melons and grapes with a hint of biscuit and hops. Initial candied fruit flavor with a bit of maltiness and a hoppy finish. Distinctive for a Pilsner. CapFlu (5128) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 7, 2012
(650ml bottle) Purchased at The Strath for $6.50. Pours a medium, white frothy head atop a well carbonated, cloudy orange amber body. Nose of spiced lemon citrus, fairly peppery. Creamy malt, crisp hops - good pine bite. Very enjoyable.

The color is golden. The nose had floral bananas, jasmine, grass and daisies. Fairly heavy maltiness, a touch sharp acidity with a sweet Carmel finish

Cloudy tan and a thin head. Quite yeasty and with some green grape and pear esters on the nose. The malts are a bit thick and doughy; the hops are mossy and perhaps not as bright as I would like to see for the style. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - FEB 5, 2012
Nose of honey bread grass and floral bitterness. A littlebitterness pepper alittle little caramel. Pours golden no head or lace nice clarity. Flavors of honey orange grass peppery bitterness. A little sweetness as well as toast. Bread. Rather bitter really. A little alcohol. Bitterness lingers. Medium body medium carbonation. Not bad really.
Lagerboy (2221) - British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 7, 2011
Hazy pale orange with a nice white head. Grassy hop aroma. Taste is all bitter hops with a barely perceptible malt background. More like a moderately hopped IPA than an Imperial Pils. Disappointing. Too hoppy for this Lagerboy. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary) garthicus (2933) - Dublin, IRELAND - OCT 22, 2011
Thanks to Troy. Appearance: orange with a small white head. Aroma: yeast, orange, yeast, grass. Flavour: grassy, yeast, quite a harsh bitterness. Long malt finish.

In short: A clean and crisp golden lager with a generous amount of assertive dry grassy hops. Successful take on the stylepresario (4916) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 29, 2011
How: Bottle 22oz. Consumed fresh, less than two months after the beer release. Bottle sent to me by mcberko, thanks a lot Matt
The look: Clear light golden body topped by a medium white head
In long: Nose is quite grassy, not saaz-grassy but very grassy nonetheless. Taste starts with a straightforward bready and crackery crisp pale malt backbone with some sugary notes that suggests a non-negligible amount of crystal malts. Then comes the appropriate generous hopping that is all about dry grassy hops with a slightly spiciness. It says it doesn’t use any Saaz but honestly it tastes like it does use some. Sharp bitterness of medium intensity and the finish is overall quite dry especially when considering the initial sweetness. A pleasant surprise coming from Lighthouse, forgive me if I don’t sound too enthusiastic but that was my first beer of the day so I’m still three beers away from being in a good mood.
Bottle. Dark crisp amber with a very big thick white head. Quiet aroma for big beer. Light malt note and a bit of pepper. Smooth body. Soft pepper hops slowly build in mouth and aftertaste. Noticeable but not overwhelming alcohol. A nice big beer. Strong without being rough. Carries itself daintily through the china shop. blomster (289) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 23, 2011
Bottle, 650 ml. Looks like a pale lager. Malty aroma, hops, alcohol, some yeast. Tastes sweet, boozy background, pleasant malt backbone to support the bitterness from the hops, full mouthfeel. Pretty good, but not at all among the best ones in the style. Would like some dry-hopping in this one.
