Pours a huge frothy white head which leaves some thick dirty lacing. Has a pale golden appearance, little odd for an ipa. Floral and citrus hop aromas. Citrus and fruity flavours. Tangy, mild yeasty notes. Bready malts as well. Creamy and wet mouthfeel. Slight bitterness but not really as much as expected. Could have been slightly more bitter, maybe a bit too smooth. tmalaher (305) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 26, 2017

Can. Pours to a hazy yellow with a thick head. Medium carbonation. Spicy hoppy aroma, floral notes. Taste is mildly bitter, with moderate floral flavouring hops. Also some citrus notes. Warms to a very mild malt sweetness. Full-bodied. Finish is floral hops, maybe a touch of spruce. Pretty good, although with bitterness levels it would be more of an aggressive American Pale Ale than a IPA, but regardless it has a lot of nice hop flavours. tlind2 (1756) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 17, 2016

, Vancouver. Golden color, frothy white head. Citric hop aroma. Smooth flavor that follows the aroma. Medium-full body, medium carbonation. Nice.
Appearance: bright pale gold with one fat finger of rocky white head, good retention and lacing. (4/5) Aroma: citrus, tropical fruit, pine, pale malt. (8/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-high bitter. (8/10) Palate: medium body, lively carbonation, off-dry clean bitter finish. (4/5)
Excellent. Exactly the balance of hop-forward citrus, tropical fruits, and pine I like, with just enough pale malt supporting it. Lovely and bright, both in the aromas and in the pale gold colour. Despite the higher ABV and IBUs, it’s very drinkable. (16/20) WhiskyBraj (13) - British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 15, 2015
Creamy and tropical. An easy drinking inoffensive IPA that is sure to please most IPA drinkers. Won’t blow you away with the body being a little thin. Crushable. martyfishman (3) - British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 13, 2015 does not count
Hold your horses here... Shipwreck is NOT simply Switchback re-named. It is not a Pacific NW style IPA, and lacks the citrus/grapefruit, melon and pine aroma and flavour. It is now labeled as a "modern" style IPA. Not sure why they abandoned Switchback, perhaps because they wanted to do something the other local craft breweries weren’t doing, but I wish they’d "switch back" to Switchback. Shipwreck is a light beer with lots of flat bitterness but no depth, malt or aroma. Sorry, but I would substitute the "p" with a "t". markschiedon (682) - NETHERLANDS - JUN 11, 2015
Drinking from a 355 ml bottle.
In the aroma citrus, hop bitterness.
The clear golden beer has a medium white head.
In the taste citrus and (surprise!) bitterness.

Tasted some caramel and grassy notes. Aslo noted some subtle fruit flavour. This is certainly above average
