This hoppy IPA is 80 IBUs and 6.5% alc/vol. Citra, Zythos and Falconer’s Flight hops combine to produce citrus, stone fruit and tropical flavours. The assertive bitterness of these hops is nicely balanced by medium bodied, fresh malt characters. Switchback IPA is a Pacific Northwest style IPA.

Tasted some caramel and grassy notes. Aslo noted some subtle fruit flavour. This is certainly above average

355 ml bottle. Pours a pale, clear gold with a medium, short-lived, white head that laces. Nice citrus hop aroma with pine and some tropical fruit. Sweet fruity flavour of grapefruit and tropical fruit with a dry, bitter, resiny, pine finish. Medium body with a slick texture and average carbonation. Nicely done, I enjoyed this brew.

On tap. Pour is light yellow/orange with a medium white head. Aroma and flavor of light citrus hops, slight caramel, and a bit of spice. Not bad, sessionable.

Aroma floral. Golden appearance. Nicely balanced earthy hopy flavour and bitterness just right. A little sweet but no harm. Strength excellent will try again.

On Cask at JDW. Pours golden. Floral nose. Moderate bitterness. Slight fruitiness, maltiness and bubblegum. Earthy with some citrus tang. Not bad

Pint at a pub in Vancouver. Aroma was fresh citrus hops. Flavor was hops up front and deliciousness throughout. Overall fairly sweet. I enjoyed it quite a bit.

AgentAle (1853) - Fort Mcmurray, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 23, 2015
Aroma is sweet roasty malts, honey, earthiness, clove and lemon grass. Taste is a light crisp maltiness accompanied by a deep earthy and bitter hop profile. Appearance is a clear gold with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

jmgreenuk (10386) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - MAR 21, 2015
Cask at the Pump House, Solihull. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is skunky malt, light citrus hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a smooth yeasty, zesty citrus, spicy hop bittter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cunningham (8529) - Halden, NORWAY - MAR 18, 2015
Hazy dark-ish golden color with a small off white head. Caramel malty, toffee, mild fruity and mild citric aroma. Medium body. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Soft to flat carbonation. Caramel malty, mild resinous, fruity and mild citric. A bit to mild and dull. Probably because it was to flat.

Light aroma of hops, lighter brown in colour, sharp hopped taste with a hint of smokiness, palate has a moderate fizz but still somewhat smooth. Overall decent beer.
