This hoppy IPA is 80 IBUs and 6.5% alc/vol. Citra, Zythos and Falconers Flight hops combine to produce citrus, stone fruit and tropical flavours. The assertive bitterness of these hops is nicely balanced by medium bodied, fresh malt characters. Switchback IPA is a Pacific Northwest style IPA.

perfect clear golden pour. full head, lingerie lace. Nicely carbonated. POW! great fruity hops. Well balanced and drinkable. A nice delicate bitter punch. I am a big fan. An extremely tasty IPA. Has to be one of my all time favorites in terms of availability, consistency and hoppy presence. Thank you lighthouse. Great bottle graphics too. IPA fans will not be disappointed

UPDATED: FEB 4, 2014 Drank out of the bottle. Aroma was delightfully hoppy and clear notes of citrus. Taste was hoppy with notes of pineapple, orange, tangerine, grapefruit, misc citrus, pine, etc. A delicious beer that is both crisp and refreshing. A new favourite of mine!

Clear and golden straw yellow from the bottle with 1 finger white head that quickly fades. Hoppy aroma of citrus, peach and resin, with nice malty sweetness to round it out. Medium bodied with slightly more than average carbonation, the taste is sweet malt at first followed by a resinous/fruity hop bitter sweetness. Finish is long, crisp and slightly astringent. Nice.

Pourshazy gold with a small white top. Aroma is rather faint floral and pine hop. Taste is a bold in your face pine and floral bitterness. A little dank, a little sweet, all great.

355mL bottle. Aroma: Bright fragrance with notes of sugar pine, lemon and grapefruit. Appearance: Clear Amber with a dusting of foam. Taste: Brilliant hoppy grapefruit with a hint of malt followed quickly by bitter-sweet. Palate: refreshing, slightly bitter. This is among the very best west-coast IPAs Ive had on par with CC Red Racer and BR Racer 5,

Pours a perfectly clear gold, with a moderately thick head with great retention and lovely lace. Spicy hop aroma, with light malt sweetness. Nice hop bite and biscuity, lightly toasted malt flavour. Thick, creamy body - unusual for an IPA but tasty all the same. This is a solid, sessionable ale. Very nice!

I avoided this beer for a while since I thought the label looked kind of tacky. To my surprise this is a decent beer. I love how the foam sticks around for so long. Slight grapefruit taste to it. Perfect IPA bitterness. Victorias got some great beers!

Amazing citric hop smell right out of the bottle. Pours a transparent gold with steady carbonation and a dissipating head. Tastes great, hops right up front and on the finish, with just enough malt in the middle. Stacks up well in a saturated west coast IPA market. Lighthouse has been steadily edging away from its older, mediocre beers and toward more interesting and intense horizons. Switchback lands right in the middle, a very enjoyable and solid standard. I look forward to picking this up again in the future.

Pours 1 finger frothy head. Recedes but maintains a nice milky lace. Clear golden body. Woody tobacco aroma. Taste is very nice. Earthy, bitter, slight sweet tangerine finish. A solid PNW IPA. The back up goaltender to Fat Tug. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355 mL Bottle. Yellow-gold body with a foamy white head that settles to a clingy film leaving foamy ribs on the glass as it is sipped. Aroma of sweet light malts, citrus and floral notes, and resiny hops. Flavor of sweet light malts, grapefruit rind, aftertaste of pink grapefruit rind and a matching finish with sharp but refreshing resiny hops. Another grapefruity IPA that has won my heart.
