This is a premium example of the classic German Pilsner. Clean, crisp and refreshing, the Elemental Pilsner is pleasantly full-bodied. Generous use of German noble hops provides this beer with a complex hop presence with a dry and slightly bitter finish. A bright white, lacey head tops off this award-winning session beer.

On draft at Pizza Port Solana Beach. Poured a murky yellow golden color small head. Aroma was spicy with some hop presence. Taste was very grainy with some hops. Not too shabby.

A: The pour is a pale golden color with a very fluffy white head on the top. S: Spicy noble hops and lager yeast dominate the nose with the rest of the aroma being taken care of by a malty sweetness. T: The hops in the flavor are a mix of lightly spicy and grassy (especially on the finish), with a hint of bitterness. Again, the grain and malt sweetness make up the bulk of the sensations on the palate. M: Fairly light on the tongue with a full carbonation. D: A decent pilsner, but the hop flavors seemed a bit off to me and degrading the drinking experience.

Severed from a bottle at Phils BBQ. Appearance is pale gold with a small white head. The flavors and aromas are pilsner malts, and a very light hop tones. A nice pilsner.

Nice malty aroma. Dark yellow. Too dark for a pilsner? More like a medium lager. A little out of style.

Bottle. Pours with a hazy golden body with a creamy white head. Aroma is grassy and sweet with bready notes and light banana esters. Taste is dry and grassy with light plastic notes. Light bodied and medium carbonation. Different than most Pilseners you can get in the US, and thats a good thing.

On tap. Clear golden with a white head. Good malty nose. Medium body with sweet malts and flowery hops that leave a decent bitterness. Good, clean and well crafted. 070709

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2009 22 oz bottle purchased at Holiday Wine Cellar in Escondido, California. Pour is hazed golden yellow with a frothy and lasting 2 inch pure white head. Nice sheets of lacing. Aroma of fresh bready, toasty grainy malt with some light floral earthy hops. Taste is the bready malt, though it has some earthy, almost dirty chemical edge to it which isn’t that nice. The floral hops are present, especially in the finish which has a straw grass bitterness. Very herbal. Palate is light to medium, with a long dry, even dusty, somewhat bitter finish.
