Pours two fingers of head on a hazy straw body.

The taste is moderate lemon bitterness. A bit chewy.
The texture is softer.

Draft at San Diego Brewing Company. Had to try this one out to get the first rating for the whole brewery. Very clear yellow with a nice white head. Head lasted for the whole glass and left decent lacing. Aromas were a little weak and mostly malts. Some noble hop aromas too. Flavors really followed suit and the finish was fresh and crsip. Decent Beer. Just not a favorite style. StefanSD (2451) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - MAR 2, 2008
UPDATED: APR 27, 2008 650 ml bottle from Bev4less in Santee. Pours a 14k yellow gold color with a foamy white head that lasts only a short white. The aroma was sweet with cookie dough and sweet malts. The flavor was similarly sweet with spices and cherries rounding out the sides, and a touch of wheat filling in the back end. The mouthfeel was silky smooth. The finish was short and sweet. Overall: Upon first taste I thought this was a kolsch. But, a good pilsner choice. 22 oz bottle from South Bay Drugs. Created virtually no formation of head but did maintain a bright straw gold color. The aroma was a mild with signs of hay and grass. The flavor is mellow with balanced flavor between hop and grainy malts which makes for an easily drinkable pils. beersearcher (2382) - Glendale, California, USA - AUG 31, 2009
Nice malty aroma. Dark yellow. Too dark for a pilsner? More like a medium lager. A little out of style.

On tap at Stone Bistro during RBSG 08. Rather dark for a pilsener, clear orange-gold with a sticky white head. Some musty hops in the aroma, as well as a biscuity pils malt note. Flavor is pils malt with just a faint little zesty hoppiness. Pretty boring honestly. Easy to drink but I just don’t want to. wetherel (1883) - Cupertino, California, USA - AUG 16, 2008
Tasted from tap at Stone 12th Anniversary Celebration, while talking to the brewer. As much as I think I know about brewing, I am a moron compared to him. I’m on a little quest to try a great pilsener, especially after hearing about a rare great one here and there. This beer does have some lactic acid added to the wort, which I’m looking forward to. The mash itself was not soured, which I guess was done for more precise control of the acid level. Nice fluffy small bubble head. Skunky Saaz hop aroma. I still have mixed feelings about this hop. Nice sweetish wheat-like flavor, but with high clarity. Easy to drink, but the Saaz hop plus something else gives it a Bud-ish characteristic. Pours a pure yellow color with a happy corn aroma. Taste is grassy with a dry bad bitter finish. A crisp beer that left a Earthy lingering aftertaste that stayed on the palate. . This beer was dry, bitter and crisp, with a decent complexity. AgentSteve (1647) - SF Bay Area, California, USA - DEC 13, 2008
Interesting. A Belgian Pilsner. Pours bright golden with a finger thick white head. Nose and flavor are spice clove and light banana along with some bready characteristics. Dry, clean hop finish. jmohno (1618) - Iowa, USA - SEP 18, 2011
