This is a premium example of the classic German Pilsner. Clean, crisp and refreshing, the Elemental Pilsner is pleasantly full-bodied. Generous use of German noble hops provides this beer with a complex hop presence with a dry and slightly bitter finish. A bright white, lacey head tops off this award-winning session beer.

I love pilsner, and this is a fine example, worthy of any German brewmaster. Nice use of lactic acid, Jim. Thank you for being so generous with this well made lager. A perfect summer session beer.

Lightly cloudy yellow with huge pillow of foam that takes a looooooong time to go away. Hard to get any nose off this. Weak hay. Feel is overcarbonated. Sharply bitter and grassy. Ok, but with a slightly unpleasant aftertaste. Not gonna finish. Funny - their motto is "better beer through science" and 2 of 2 were off.

Pours two fingers of head on a hazy straw body. The aroma is lemon and honey. The taste is moderate lemon bitterness. A bit chewy. The texture is softer.

I’m not a lager-lover, but this one is quite good. Lemon and herbs aroma, light flavor and very little of that nasty metallic lager aftertaste.

[2/21/15] Draught at Winter Brew Fest 2015 in San Diego. Clear golden. Grainy aroma, a bit vegetal, with a grassy hops hint. Grainy flavor with mild grassy hops bitterness.

Très herbacé, amer, astringent avec des nuances d’ammoniac et de citron. Pas très élégant et plutôt abrasif.

Draft. Pours opaque gold with a thick, fizzy off white head. Tastes like sweet corn, straw, dry roasted malt, and bitter citrus hops. Light body and low carbonation. Smells like musky citrus, grapefruit, toasted malt, straw.

On tap at the brewery. It poured a hazy golden yellow color with a white head. The aroma was grainy, malty and sweet. The taste was of earthy hops, sweet malts and grain. Nice.

>> Big white foam, chill hazed straw pour. Nose is funky, Berliner weisse almost, mildew. Taste is hyper tannic, super tannic ripping mouthfeel. Sweet Jesus.

Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - JUL 20, 2014
Pours a pure yellow color with a happy corn aroma. Taste is grassy with a dry bad bitter finish. A crisp beer that left a Earthy lingering aftertaste that stayed on the palate. . This beer was dry, bitter and crisp, with a decent complexity.

Tap, golden pour, white head, nose is grassy, taste is bland, nothing special here.
