Heavy on the lemons in the aroma with some yeast as well. The flavor is lemon/citrus with some bananas in the background. For an American take on the style, this was relatively authentic, a little different due to the lemons being stronger than the bananas and a good beer all around. Banana fruit aroma. Golden coloured a little hazy in appearance hoppy and smooth on the palate with a hint of dryness in a malt finish. Powertrip (1000) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - SEP 12, 2010
Tony Roma’s sampler platter on tap in Mission, San Diego. Colour: Cloudy light orange. Nose: Bubble gum, tangerines, cream soda...a sweet delight, but a weizen? I’m skeptical.... Taste: Sweet wheat entrance...ah theres the bubble gum all over the middle body, leading to a sugary grain finish. A sweet treat!.....for those who like that sort of thing. Great looking and nice mouth feel on the plus side. tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 17, 2010
Not a great beer at all, not terrible, I wouldnt buy it again. I was expecting substantially more. bland, grainy, not much else going on. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - MAY 8, 2010
A: The pour is a very hazy golden orange color with a mild white head.
S: The nose is quite spicy with plenty of clove. There’s a slight citrus aroma along with some sweet wheat.
T: The flavors mimic the nose for the most part, with perhaps an even more intense spice character. The cloves are domineering and there isn’t much else to balance it out (other than a heavy sweetness). Minimal banana esters but not enough to save the beer.
M: The body is medium with a moderate carbonation.
D: This beer was overly sweet and just not all that good overall. I was not impressed and don’t plan on having this again.

16oz glass on tap at Stone brewery,This is a good hefe. Pours a hazy orange with white head. Bread, sweet malt, banana, a bit of sourness, clove, spice, and nutty wheat. Nice easy drinking beer. Well done. BobbyAnalog (334) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 6, 2010
Citrus wallops the tongue, catapults off of your nose, then does a swandive into your brain. This hefe is swamped with notes of orange and vanilla. Chopped bananas are also prevelant, as the aftertaste lacquers your mouth with the fruit. There is also a strange flavor similarity to eggnog, especially with the blipping occurances of what seems like cream and spice. A sunset color, marked by its rich unfiltered interior, is the final description to a pretty damn good hefeweizen. trancecyclist (50) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 27, 2010
On a guest tap at Stone Brewing in Escondido. Really one of the better American hefeweizens I’ve had, with a nice yellow-orange cloudiness to the banana esters present in the taste. Another brewery whose beer I’ve never seen on the East Coast, I’d certainly like to drink more of this one as the summer warms up. JoeTheYounger (1183) - Lake Arrowhead, California, USA - FEB 9, 2010
Very tasty hefeweizen. Aroma and taste was bananas, spices, cloves. Very smooth and refreshing. SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JAN 25, 2010
On tap at the Local. Pours hazy gold with a rich medium white head that dies quickly. No banana aroma. It has pineapple flavors. Finishes a bit chalky. Flavor is orange citrus and big sweet fruits. It’s quite good except for the extreme dryness at the end.
