COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Gouverneur Blonde is a top-fermented special beer with a very characteristic, strong taste and an unparalleled fruity aftertaste. A beer that you would like to keep on flowing. Gouverneur Blonde is brewed with hop (the renowned Tettnanger hop from the South of Germany) and an extra large quantity of barley malt. Hence its golden colour, its full-bodied and malty aftertaste and an alcohol content of 6,5% by volume. Gouverneur Blonde is a beer that is brewed with love and affection. Connoisseurs know that and we have plenty of connoisseurs over here.

Aroma is a bit sickly sweet. Flavour has a malty sweetness and unpleasant bitterness. It feels very rough an unrefined.

20110605 Home (30 cl bottle): A clear yellow beer with a good white head. This is a bottle conditioned beer, but we could not see this. The aroma is light malty, fruity-sweetness (yellow fruit, like peer, apple, perzik). The taste is in the beginning aslike the arome. Some alcohol and a hopbitter finish with still some sweetness and fruity. The beer is sticky.

On tap at Caf Heffer, Amsterdam on 6 April 2011. Clear gold colour. A sweet and fruity, vaguely Belgian styled blonde (think Leffe) beer of no great distinction. Hints of honey and maybe a touch of spice. Soft, rather flabby mouthfeel. Palatable but uninspiring.

(Draught at Caf Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 30 July 2010) Clear golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of apricots, orange and hints of yeast. Fruity, malty taste with apricots, orange and slightly spicy hops in the finish. Medium body, fairly sweet. Well balanced and quite tasty.
