Bottle from Berts Bierhuis in Utrecht. The beer is dark reddish brown colored and pours a large cream colored head with livingly co2. The aroma is fruity and malty with tones of caramel, roasted malts, dark fruits and a little alcohol.Taste is full bodied and light sweet with nice fruit notes and caramel. It changes to bitter and leaves some spicy and hop notes. The finish is alcohol and light bitter and is long staying.

Ik word gewoon al niet blij als een fles er zo lelijk uit ziet. Bruin, zoet, slappe borreltjes. Backlog from 2014/12/20.

Cola color with red hue, nice large frothy head, gentle carbo. A: large malt sweetness, prune, alcoholic cherry note. T: distinct Belgian Double character and mouthfeel, with caramel malts, prune, chocolate, hint of bock with slightest grass note. Booziness in development. Aftertaste bit sticky, sweet.

Nice smooth but a bit rough beginning. Sweetish-sticky body with hints of dried fruit. Very rich, sweetish and intense. Malty-sticky-sweetish, nearly no bitterness. Too much sweetness for me.

30 cl bottle at home. Dark amber brown with a small off-white head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Pretty sweet with some bitter tones. Brown sugar, malts, caramel, hops, herbs and spices. Not the best dubbelbock, I guess it’s its sweetness that makes it too unlikeable for me.
